| If color, material or
surface properties of the targets for your sensing application are giving you
headaches, then Baumer Electric ultrasonic sensors may be what you need. Transparent objects such as glass or plastics, as well as translucent objects like foils and ribbons, can be accurately detected with these ultrasonic proximity switches/sensors. The high frequency ultrasonic transducers developed for these ultrasonic sensors make them practically immune to ambient noise interference. Due to their compact size they are ideal when space is at a premium. Ultrasonic transducer technology is ideal when environmental conditions are harsh. The product range includes an option for either multiplexing or synchronisation, which removes the potential problem of cross talk between ultrasonic sensors. Also, analogue sensor versions are available with either voltage or current output, the resolution of which is better than 3mm. For ease of use Baumer electric have provided their "Self -Teach" principle within the ultrasonic family.
