| The SPT-DIN, is a new generation of
programmable 'smart' power transducers, for the measurement of all
major characteristics of an electrical system including power,
energy, voltage and current. Comprising only two basic models (1
-phase and 3-phase with balanced and unbalanced loads), the
SPT-DIN series has a large number of functions available to the
user. These are high capacity of measurement, calculation and
control, configuration and calibration can be done in the field,
interfacing at high levels to function as a remote unit. All
these and more are housed in a compact unit, suitable for DIN
rail mounting, only 107mrn wide. The advantages are easy to see. With respect to
a traditional transducer, the SPT-DIN offers:
Measurement in true RMS, selection and
optimisation of field measurements with complete freedom on the
part of the operator, soft touch keyboard and integrated display.
The possibility of modifying the configuration of the transducer
and both the type and calibration of the main measurements,
(prior to SPT-DIN, the choice of power transducer depended strictly on
the size of the measurements and the characteristics of the
electrical line), and possible successful modification was rarely
feasible.
Local control of a large selection by means of
a set point alarm with static output, eliminating the necessity
for an additional instrument; the static output can be activated,
alternatively, in remote mode by means of an RS485 interface.
The CVT-DIN, is a new series of compact and
economical electrical transducers for the measurement of voltage, current
and frequency. Two analogue outputs (one of these can be
substituted by 3 digital inputs) independently configurable for
the simultaneous transmission of 2 chosen values, and a pulse
output for energy counting thereby obtaining a saving on cost,
cabling and space.
RS485 interface (with the possibility of
interfacing with other transducers to construct a network) means
that it is possible to configure in remote mode, to transfer all
the electrical measurements of the system, to control the state
of the three logic inputs and the remote control of the alarm
outputs.
In a module just 71.5mm wide suitable for DIN
rail mounting, this family offers three basic types for measuring
AC voltage and current; DC voltage and current and frequency.
For all models it will be possible to modify,
without the need for further alteration, the calibration of the
range from 50% to 130% of the nominal input values, by using a
multimeter set to the resistance range.
Common to both the SPT and CVT DIN series are
the complete galvanic separation of inputs, outputs and power
supplies; the possibility of supply on AC or DC (the latter
requires a small external converter) and naturally, the assurance
of all technical norms and safety in current use.
